Studio Index is a historical overview of every artist who worked in the Rijksakademie van beeldende Kunsten, Amsterdam, since 1993. Registered on the building's floor plan, each artist's name is listed by year and located in the studio she or he used during the two year residency.
The index serves as archive in a grid of names and architecture of the institution, and it also invites to speculate about ambitions, expectations, internal decision making, and oblivion.
Studio Index is an ongoing work that has been acquired by the the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten for a continuous update.
